“There are great cleared flat places hidden away in the forests that are called elephants’ ballrooms, but even these are only found by accident, no man has ever seen the elephants dance…”– Rudyard Kipling

The Animal Ball is London’s most inspired and creative tribute to The Animal Kingdom.

In 2016, backed by TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, forty of the world’s top fashion houses and restaurants joined forces to solve human-animal conflict and secure the future for African and Asian elephants, lions and gorillas.

In partnership with Selfridges, The Animal Ball took place on Tuesday 22nd November 2016 and was Europe’s biggest conservation fundraiser which raised £1.7 million for our planet’s most magnificent and endangered animals.

In June 2019 The Animal Ball returns …

In 2016, guests were dressed in masks created by the world’s top fashion houses including Burberry, Matthew Williamson, Swarovski and Chloé and  40 other global fashion houses. Our beloved V&A Museum displayed the 800 strong couture mask collection at Conservation Couture: The Animal Ball Collection from 25thOctober for 10 days, kindly supported by Swarovski.

Inspired by American Novelist Truman Capote’s Black & White Dance of ’66 and returning to the era of formal dinners pre-ball, we worked with top restaurants, private member clubs and notable private homes, who each hosted 40 delightfully inspired dinners simultaneously across London. After dinner, everyone made their way to the Ball to celebrate nature’s greatest masterpieces.
